Puppet is a powerful and flexible software to configure and manage a whole server farm based on Unix/Linux systems.
With Puppet you can easily manage from one to hundreds of servers from a central master, applying configurations, installing programs, managing services and every other typical system administration task.

Lab42 offer training on the job and consulting services oriented to the deployment and design of a Puppet Infrastructure.
Lab42 has worked and designed the Puppet environments of different companies and public entities ranging from few to hundreds of servers.
A set of example puppet modules made by Lab42 is publically available and usable:
Example 42 Puppet Infrastructure is intended for tutorial and prototyping use, with many different modules for the management of different services and a general "infrastructural" module that gives hints on how to build and design an infrastructure with Puppet.

Puppet Infrastructure KickOff is an onsite consulting service that includes:
- Puppet Training on the job, with hands on tips and real life cases;
- Discussion and design with the customer of a custom Puppet Infrastructure (for testing or production purposes);
- Integration and use of existing modules for fast implementation of standard services;
- Development of custom modules for the customer's applications.
- Post KickOff consulting and remote support.

Activities can range from few days to weeks, according to the customer's needs.
Onsite KickOffs are available mainly in Europe.
